About Me!

Hi There. I figured I would do a little blurb on me, Ashley. I'm not really good at coming up with things to say about myself. It's so much easier to write about the negatives then positives. I'm 23. I have 3  beautiful and wonderfully amazing children; Madison, Brayden and Cash. I became a Mom at 16 and no, I wouldn't go back and change a thing. I'm a stay at home mom and my I love to read, write, take photos, play computer or video games and play music and make art &  I love to crochet. My favorite color is Yellow, and I want to be an Interior Designer. I don't have pets, nor do I want any. I play the trumpet and my favorite author is Douglas Coupland!

Habbits: Nail biting, Worrying and always making the first letter of every word a capital letter. It Looks Better That Way To Me. (See. I'm even a grammar freak.)

I decided to find a few random questions to answer. Just for fun! So Enjoy!

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? Mid 40's Give or Take! I don't feel young. I'm only 23 but I feel a lot older then my age especially since I have seen more in a lifetime then most would
  2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying for sure! How can you fail if you have never tried? "Do Or Do Not, There is no Try."
  3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? I personally think it's because we are scared of the unknown, scared of what others think or how they will react to our decisions in life. Myself, I dream of going to school in Interior Design but I doubt I will only because I worry what others will think, where I will live, finances or if I'll even be any good at it. I'd have to move away. Change can be scary!
  4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? No. I think I'll be taking my regrets straight to the grave with me.
  5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? I had to sit on this one. There's so much in the world that I would love to take away. Hunger, dying, homelessness, Disasters but I think if I had to change one thing it would be Greed. Maybe then a lot of these issues I said wouldn't be issues if we & the government wasn't so greedy.
  6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? Being a mom! Nothing else makes me more happy then watching my children grow to be strong, loving little people! A smile on their face gives me hope!
  7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? I'm settling. But believe me, I don't want to be settled.
  8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I would be doing more. Traveling more, making new friends, raising my kids, have a family, a husband. But I need to do them now too, even if it isn't 40. I need to start living.
  9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? I was in control of my life up til I was 16 when it spiraled out of control. I'm now 23 and it hasn't gotten any easier but the pieces seem to be fitting a little better.
  10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? Doing the right things. There's too much pressure on people now a days to do the right thing. It sucks!
  11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? I stick up for my friends. No one talks about them negatively behind their backs or their faces for that matter. I let them know they are my friend.
  12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Don't wish to grow up. Once you're there, you will wish to be little again. Enjoy all that childhood has to offer you!
  13. Would you break the law to save a loved one? I'd kill to save a loved one. Mind you it would be the most hardest thing to do, but yes. I would.
  14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? Weren't the greatest artists a little crazy at times? Like Van Gogh, he cut off his ear and gave it to a Prostitute but created some of the most beautiful works of art!  Never judge a book by it's cover.
  15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? I'm very Modest and Humble. A lot of people aren't like that anymore.
  16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? Because people suck! No, people have this notion that things in life are supposed to look and be a certain way and when they see things "out of the box" they say it isn't right.
  17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back? I want to travel more. See new sights and try new foods. Finances are holding me back! Stupid money.
  18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? A lot of guilt. And by a lot I mean A LOT.
  19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? Germany or Australia. I've always wanted to go there. Most likely Australia though because then I wouldn't have to learn a new language.
  20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? Of course I push it more then once. Unless there's someone else in the elevator with me then I push it once. And No, I know it doesn't go faster. I just like buttons.
  21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? A joyful simpleton.
  22. Why are you, you? Because I haven't figured out who I want to be yet.
  23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? Yes! I can say that with 100% honesty. I'm the friend that when you call me up at 3am and you are in trouble or stranded I am there ASAP with whatever you need! I'm open and honest and trustworthy and I'm good at keeping secrets. Unfortunately, people like to take me for granted :(
  24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? Losing touch with a good friend who lives close by. With today's technology you can always stay in touch when friends move away (as sucky as it is) but when you're near to someone and neither one reaches out, then it's a kick in the pants!
  25. What are you most grateful for? Life. I take it for granted and grumble when things don't go my way. I am grateful for my Country I live in, my health, the food on my table, the people in my life but MOST of all my 3 beautiful babies that touched my life and make life worth living.
  26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? Oooh that's a tough one. Probably lose all my old memories. I haven't had many good ones. So why not start over?
  27. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? I don't think so. Whenever I want the truth about something I usually have to challenge it.
  28. Has your greatest fear ever come true? Not yet. My #1 fear is death. So someday yes, it will happen.
  29. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? Yes. I was in a bad relationship and most of it wasn't happy days. It does and doesn't matter. It doesn't because I found someone else who makes me happy and loves me and treats me right! It does because it's hard to let some of the things that happened go. All I can do is move forward.
  30. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? I think when I was in Cadets. I loved traveling all across Canada and meeting new people and getting away from home for 2 months! It was an adventure!
  31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? If not now, then when? I haven't yet. I hope to though! When I start to do things for me I most likely will.
  32. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever? No. That's usually when I walk away feeling awkward and telling myself I looked like a fool.
  33. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? Religion is Man-Made. Religions are too focused on worshiping their religion and NOT God.
  34. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil? I think so
  35. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? I don't have a job at the moment. If I did, no. I'd still work but as I'm not employed, all the more fun I guess!
  36. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? More work I actually enjoy doing. I haven't had a lot of work experience being a mom at a very young age I've just been family focused. But if I had a job that I love so much, I'd do it for sure!
  37. Do you feel like you've lived this day a hundred times before? Oh yes! Being a stay at home mom, I defiantly have those days where they feel like they are on repeat. Other days can be surprising!
  38. When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in? Almost every time I have an idea. I don't do much research or think into it, I just go on in and think I can do it.
  39. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? I'd get everyone together. That way I could spend it with them all! *This question DOES NOT include my kids, cause my kids wouldn't die. End of discussion!
  40. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? Hell No! I want to live those last 10 years with my family and children. Who gives a crap if I don't look "beautiful" enough to do it.
  41. What is the difference between being alive and truly living? Truly living is when you're living the life you want to, doing the things that make you happy and living with an open mind. Being Alive is more like settling with what your life has become if you aren't happy.
  42. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? When your calculations never get you anywhere.
  43. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? Again, it's publicity. Everyone is watching us, judging us and telling us we aren't good enough. It has to stop.
  44. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? Anything and Everything! School, work, travel. All without people up my butt about it.
  45. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? When my children aren't home. But then it's too quiet.
  46. What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love? I love a lot of things! I'm not a lovey-dovey person. I show my children love but if I were to send a card it would just say "Love, Ashley" in it where are my Mom or sister would write a whole page on how much I mean to them or that they love me in a million ways. It's not that I don't love them, because I do...I just don't show it that way.
  47. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that? I can't even remember what I did 10 minutes ago. So most likely, no.
  48. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? I'm letting others make them for me. I'm trying to change that!
